Some of these you've seen before, some you haven't. Either way I have scanned and will be making test prints of these and others.

A while ago I ordered some make palettes from Coastal Scents. The rumours are in fact, true! It is not only very cheap, it is of incredible quality and the colours are strong and beautiful! Being the poor Make up Artist that I am, I am really excited that I am able to afford such large great-quality palettes. I am now the proud owner of the 42 Color Double Stack Matte Shadow & Blush and the extremely useful Professional Camouflage Concealer Palette. The only downside to them is that the printed information on the boxes is in Comic Sans MS, which is of course, both completely wrong and slightly scary. I definitely have to cover that with something - even sparkly dinosaur stickers look more serious than Comic Sans.
I tried them on myself, going crazy with the colours. However, the photos came out horrible and dark brown all over, so I had to edit the life out of them literally - I look like a pixelized digital painting of a dead drag queen, which doesn't bother me at all but doesn't show much of my so-called "make up expertise" either.
Later, partly by accident since I was betrayed by the lightening and uncontrollable laughter, I turned my breathtakingly beautiful friend Inês into a Lady of the Night. Then the magnificent photographer Vanda took out her weapon and turned her into a full blown Cabaret Diva.

I always wanted snakeskin pattern pants, because you know, leopard print pants is just too obvious, but snakeskin, snakeskin is just the right amount of cheesetastic rock and roll. So finally I have these, and I am completely obsessed with them. Naturally I thought pairing the snakeskin pants with my blue winklepickers would be a very obvious choice.
An obvious choice everyone hates!
Could be because I live in a small country, but they get a lot of attention (the pants). I am often bothered on the street, but this was different. First day I wore them, someone took my picture, a bunch of tourists said they liked my pants, some foreign man tried to talk to me, then sat beside me on a bench, removed his sunglasses and just stared at me in a really creepy way. Also, a drunk guy kept asking me to go join him, and truck drivers blew horns at me.
I could say I love the attention, but I don't really. I would find it flattering which I do sometimes but in this case I don't know what to think of it so in the end, it is just really annoying. When I was young, wore three hats all at once on top of each other, horrible make up, clashing patters and platform shoes, I don't remember getting this much attention in just one day outside school. So in this case, it's just really beyond my comprehension!
A friend told me that if she were me, she would run into the closest clothing shop and buy a pair of black pants. But, firstly, it's a completely superficial matter and not all that important, secondly, I would never ever do that, thirdly, I didn't have enough money to go buy new pants! She also said, "well you asked for it" - but this is the kind of logic that gets you in really bad situations.
Sergei Parajanov was a Soviet Georgian film director and artist, widely regarded as one of the 20th century's greatest masters of cinema. He invented his own unparalleled cinematic style. His oeuvre is extremely poetic, artistic and visionary and is acclaimed worldwide. - from Wikipedia.
A few days ago I randomly stumbled on a video using images of Sergei Parajanov's films. I was immediately in love. I've been searching the internet like crazy on more information, and trying to collect all his films. Today I watched Sayat Nova (The colour of Pomegranate). Every scene is like a moving painting, and it's impossible to take your eyes off of the screen.
To better understand the work of Sergei Parajanov, you should watch the following documentary that someone was kind enough to upload on youtube:
After his death, his home in Yerevan, Armenia became the Parajanov Museum. Here are some pictures taken from Armenian Pages, click for full size!
And now I leave you with some stills of Sayat Nova. You wouldn't imagine how difficult it was choosing when to screencap.
Now I really, really, really want to go to Armenia. And it isn't just because I want to visit the Parajanov Museum. Who wants to come with me?
dapper who?
